[Engineering Case] The solar smart street lamps of Langyue Energy illuminate the night sky of Endora Airport

In the Republic of Zambia in the central-southern part of Africa, another International civil Airport has been added - Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport. When night falls, this brightly lit airport shines very brightly. The night photovoltaic lighting system of the airport's terminal area, after being screened by the owner through multiple rounds of international well-known brands, finally selected the high-power photovoltaic energy storage system and high-efficiency LED lighting fixtures developed and produced by Anhui Langyue Energy Co., LTD. The construction of this project was handled by Beijing Furuncheng Company.

The project is located on the west side of Ndola City in Zambia, where there is abundant sunlight. To save electricity consumption, make full use of local solar energy resources and alleviate the shortage of conventional energy, a solar LED photovoltaic street lamp lighting system is adopted. As a green and environmentally friendly new energy source, solar photovoltaic street lamps are "inexhaustible and endless". Since its completion, the project has been operating well and has received high praise from the owner and local residents.

However, while lacking power supply, it also faces problems such as huge investment in traditional energy, high construction costs, and long construction periods. In contrast, developing new energy sources has become a good choice for many African countries. Especially from the perspective of resources, that is, direct solar irradiance, Africa's potential for the development of the solar energy industry is undoubtedly the best in the world. Africa has risen to become the world's largest potential market for solar power generation. Africa is also an important direction and foothold for China's westward advancement of the "Belt and Road Initiative". ◆ Project Name: Outdoor Lighting Project and Photovoltaic Street Lamp Project of Terminal Area of Ndola Airport Project in Zambia

◆ Project road form and photovoltaic street lamp parameters: In the two-way two-lane area of this project, 60W solar photovoltaic street lamps are adopted. The lamp pole height is 8m, the lamp spacing is 20m, they are arranged on one side, the lamp elevation Angle is 15°, the LED light source is 60W LED chip (high brightness), the color temperature is 4000K, and the average illuminance is 16LX. The two-way four-lane area adopts 80W solar photovoltaic street lamps. The lamp pole height is 10m, the lamp spacing is 30m, and they are symmetrically arranged on both sides. The lamp elevation Angle is 15°. The LED light source is 80W LED chip (high brightness), the color temperature is 4000K, and the average illuminance is 21LX. In the one-way three-lane area, 120W solar photovoltaic street lamps are used. The lamp pole height is 10m, the lamp spacing is 30m, and they are arranged on one side. The lamp elevation Angle is 15°. The LED light source is 120W LED chip (high brightness), the color temperature is 4000K, and the average illuminance is 23LX.

Ndola Airport in Zambia has a construction area of approximately 13,319 square meters and is located in the middle of the three cities of Kitwe, Ndola and Luanxia. The terminal building is situated on the south side of the apron. The outdoor lighting project of the Ndola Airport's terminal area was constructed by China Aviation Technology International Holding Co., Ltd. and handled by Beijing Furuncheng Company. And the photovoltaic energy storage system and outdoor lighting fixtures are provided by Anhui Langyue Energy Co., LTD.
